How to use your SIP device

You need a voIP username and password in order to call with SIP device. So first sign up with voIP software by downloading and installing the application and create your login. You can use voIP software with the following types of SIP devices:

  • ATA adapter/gateway


  • Hardware SIP phone


  • Software SIP phone

    • SIP caling is possible in mobile too with programs Mobile Voip, fring a nimbuzz !

    Configuration
  • SIP port: 5060
    		•
  • Registrar: sip.voipdiscount.com or by software
    		•
  • Proxy server: sip.voipdiscount.com or by software
    		•
  • Outbound proxy server: leave empty
    		•
  • Account name: your voIP username
    		•
  • Password: your voIP password
    		•
  • Display name/number: your voIP username or voIPnumber
    		•
  • STUN server (option): stun.voipdiscount.com or by software
    		•

    Codecs

  • G.711 (64 kbps)
    		•
  • G.726 (32 kbps)
    		•
  • G.729 (8 kbps)
    		•
  • G.723 (5.3 & 6.3 kbps)
    		•

    If you have audio problems:
    Use STUN server with port 3478 (if supported by your device)
    Use the G.711 codec
